The 26-year-old West Indies player Shimron Hetmyer took a blinder during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season 16 match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) today at the Eden Gardens.
Shimron took the catch of the English batsman Jason Roy when he was batting at 10 off eight balls.

A couple of days ago, Hetmyer also took a brilliant catch in RR’s match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Glenn Phillips was batting on 25 runs off six balls when he skied one off Kuldip Yadav.
KKR was batting at 127/4 in 16 overs at the time this story was published.
Both KKR and RR share the same number of points (10) in the IPL league table in 11 matches.
Whoever wins this match will go above Lucknow Super Giants who are currently sitting at number four with 11 points.
Hetmyer has been playing in the IPL since 2019, he is featuring in his 58th IPL match in four years. In the IPL Auction 2022, the Rajasthan franchise acquired the services of the West Indies player for Rs 8.50 Cr.
Before Rajasthan, he used to play for Delhi Capitals from 2020 to 2021.
He has scored 219 runs in the ongoing IPL season 16 in 11 innings with the help of one fifty.
He has featured in 113 international matches for West Indies where he has scored five hundreds and four fifties in 44 innings, averaging 35.
